Marketing and Communications Manager position available 

Organization:  Founded in 2010, the Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship (MIE) partners with communities throughout the United States to establish and maintain quality CEO programs.  Our vision is to be the standard for entrepreneurship education in the United States.  We do that by providing world class customer service, guidance and content to our CEO communities.

Job Title:  Marketing and Communications Manager

Responsible for planning, development and implementation of all of the Institute’s marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal. This role is responsible for lead generation, supporting donor cultivation, $1 to $100 national challenge and the development of support materials and services for CEO communities.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the CEO Program and elevate the Midland Institute brand, ensuring consistency and relevance across all channels.
  • Monitor market trends, conduct research for growth opportunities, execute digital marketing strategies, and optimize campaigns for engagement and conversion, while seeking brand partnerships and sponsorships for enhanced visibility.
  • Advise team on communication strategies, develop and execute communication plans, and manage internal communication channels for consistency and alignment across the organization.
  • Identify target regions and establish partnerships with school districts, business leaders, and educational stakeholders to facilitate program adoption and fundraising.
  • Cultivate relationships with media outlets, influencers, and industry partners to generate positive publicity, raise awareness, and draft effective press releases and articles to communicate key messages and achievements.
  • Oversee alumni communications, fostering community engagement and leveraging alumni expertise, networks, and resources to support current program participants.
  • Identify and engage potential investors and donors at the MIE level to support program expansion, while developing compelling proposals and presentations for funding and long-term partnerships.
  • Support, develop and implement a strategy surrounding the $1 to $100 Learn to Earn game and junior high offering.

Qualifications/ You will excel in this role if you...

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related field.
  • Have 5 years experience in marketing, communication, or advocacy roles, with demonstrated success in holistic stakeholder engagement.
  • Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Have a proven track record of strategic thinking, project management, and results-driven leadership.
  • Ability to travel as needed for conferences, meetings, and program expansion initiatives.
  • Proficient in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, analytics platforms, and CRM software.
