Dan Remmenga is proud not to be a millennial, though both he and his resume look like one. He has served as a high school teacher, an actuarial analyst at a global consulting firm, a non-profit business management instructor, and a vision and culture consultant for DC and state-based non-profit executives. Dan currently is one-third of a fundraising team that has doubled the budget of the organization in three years. Starting to venture into the speaking world, he cares deeply that young adults build healthy self-images, realize their God-given awesomeness, and create a strong foundation for a productive and fulfilling life. Dan lives with his witty wife and two cheerful children in the Champaign, IL area.

My experience and journey as an entrepreneur has lead me to become the Facilitator for the Macoupin County (IL) CEO Program guiding area high school students through the process of starting their own businesses and preparing them for the professional world beyond high school.

About Luke:
Luke Jansen is a 2014 Graduate from the Effingham CEO Program. He attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville where he earned a degree in Marketing and Public Relations. Luke currently works at Square in St. Louis as a Social Response Specialist for Cash App. Before this adventure, he also worked as an Account Executive at a marketing and public relations firm. Luke is currently involved in the Soulard Restoration Group - a nonprofit committed to promoting and preserving the historic Soulard neighborhood in St. Louis and will soon be appointed to the SIUE Alumni Association Board of Directors. In his free time, Luke enjoys staying active, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and experiencing all that the St. Louis region has to offer.

About Connie:

Connie Houlihan was raised in Teutopolis, IL, in a family of entrepreneurs committed to personal growth and development. She began playing piano when she was 5 years old and by the time she was 13, she had started her first business – a piano studio, Journeys in Music. At the time, she was a band student of Craig Lindvahl and in Kent Probst’s 7 th grade homeroom. We joke that Connie was the unintended prototype for the CEO program! After 20 years of running her own studio, she earned her Master’s in Education at the University of Missouri, St. Louis and spent 5 years in the St. Louis Public School system teaching general music classes, preschool through 8th grade. Since 2009, she has also operated Houlihan Fence, their family fence company, handling marketing, sales and accounting. In addition, she founded NannyNurse Network, an online, sick childcare agency providing medically trained caregivers in the patient’s home so parents can go to work when their child is home sick. She is a well-respected leader, building and training teams in multiple network marketing companies, has co-founded 2 women’s business networking groups (Wise Women Connect and Connecting and Promoting Women), is a real estate investor and a partner in Mere Clinics, a national multi-disciplinary medical spa. Connie is very excited to be part of this CEO Alumni Summit and brings her diverse entrepreneurial experience, along with her love of teaching, to this event.
