Mark was born into an entrepreneurial family as his parents farmed and started a gourmet roasted soybean company, Super Soynuts, in 1985 selling flavored roasted soynuts and soy candles. The apple didn’t fall far from the tree as Mark started a bait business at the age of 9 and has been involved with everything from a charter boat on Lake Minnetonka to weekly vacation rentals to a food truck. He believes that high school is the perfect time to teach students how to turn an idea into a business, and also expose them to the hard work and dedication it takes to make a business succeed. Not only does CEO accomplish that, but it connects students to the local business community and all the great things their community has to offer.
