Roger Leenerts

Adams County CEO's Facilitator

“It is a thrill to be the first facilitator of the Adams County CEO program. I am excited for these young men and women to learn about entrepreneurship and all of the career growth opportunities that exist in Adams County.”

Roger grew up in Adams County and left to pursue a career in engineering and management. He had the opportunity to work for several large corporations and live in the Chicago suburbs, Rockford, and St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1997, he and his wife Julie(also from Adams County) decided to move back “home”, so that they could raise their three children near grandparents. He has spent the last several years focusing his energy on “knowledge transfer” through activities associated with education processes, training, and consulting. This transition occurred after selling a successful, small manufacturing company that he owned and operated for 16 years. He enjoys working with entrepreneurial thinking individuals, especially young people who may want to own their own business someday.

Roger has an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago and a mechanical engineering degree from Bradley University in Peoria. He is currently a part time instructor at Quincy University in the business department and volunteers his time with several local organizations.
