Community Engagement Specialist position available 

Organization:  Founded in 2010, the Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship partners with communities throughout the United State to establish and maintain quality CEO programs.  Our vision is to be the standard for entrepreneurship education in the United States.  We do that by providing world class customer service, guidance and content to our CEO communities.

Job Title: Community Engagement Specialist

As an ambassador for the expansion of the CEO Program nationwide, the Community Engagement Specialist will be directly responsible for identifying and guiding communities as they implement new CEO Programs in their communities.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Drive the expansion of the CEO Program through the cultivation of relationships at the community and regional level and identify potential CEO ready Communities through these relationships 
  • Communicate and promote organization’s mission and values to audiences, delivering messaging that connects with economic development professionals, community minded business leaders, city governments, educators and administrators
  • Maintain good connection with potential communities through initiation and follow up via phone, email and in person - presentations and face to face time with steering committees are necessary
  • Manage administrative logistics of establishing and running programs, inclusive of marketing, training, and distribution of program materials to communities
  • Require a high level of encouraging accountability for community members to ensure a healthy and successful CEO Program Launch.
  • Coach and guide potential communities through potential startup challenges
  • Maintain the necessary updates and detail management in company internal CRM system

    Skills and Competencies Required:

    • Candidate must be able to travel up to 50% of the time 
    • Candidate must be highly skilled in managing relationships, good with people and an excellent listener
    • Candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced position and must demonstrate an openness to feedback with an ability to adapt and make changes based on that feedback
    • History of sales and/or business development experience with a good track record of growth and reaching goals ideal
