Community Developer position available 

Organization:  Founded in 2010, the Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship partners with communities throughout the United State to establish and maintain quality CEO programs.  Our vision is to be the standard for entrepreneurship education in the United States.  We do that by providing world class customer service, guidance and content to our CEO communities.

Job Title: Community Developer

The Community Developer will advance CEO program health and development across the country through support of CEO Board Members. Reporting to the National Community Director (NCD), the Community Developer will have both internal and external responsibilities, ranging from community and project management (resource development, high-quality delivery to communities) to administration (information technology, reporting, evaluating of program health) and human capital (training and mentoring). The Community Developer will partner closely with the NCD to chart Midland Institute’s future growth and strategic response to an ever-increasing demand for the organization’s services.

Duties/Responsibilities

Project Development, Management, and Community Relations/Management

  • Build and maintain strong community relationships.
  • Develop thought leadership around specific topics/emerging instructional and board leadership practice areas.
  • Share in knowledge dissemination, through training, mentoring, and written communications.

Midland Institute Advancement:

  • Partner with the National Community Director in essential internal leadership activities (human resources, administration, and organizational planning).
  • Understand and implement increasing segments of information technology.
  • Identify best practices and improve internal systems with an eye toward future needs and budget realities. Excellent writing skills are a must.
  • Serve as a coach to facilitators and board members; provide an approachable sounding board/resource.

  • Possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Display passion about Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship’s mission and impact
  • Exercise tact and discretion in organizational settings
  • Maintain transparency and directness, a self-starter, self-disciplined
  • Display imagination and creativity
  • Remain focused in the face of pressure, deliver against timelines, not intimidated by tasks/time limitations
  • Hold a clean driving record; a licensed and insured driver with ability to drive to unknown areas using resources. Occasional travel required.

 

Training or Experience Required:

  • Current or prior CEO facilitator or engaged board member is a plus, though not required.
